Ventspils University College

was established on July 23, 1997 by the state - the Republic of Latvia
is situated in Ventspils, Latvia, on the coast of the Baltic Sea
offers academic and professional higher education in two study directions - Economics and Management Studies and Translation Studies
all study programmes are accredited by the Accreditation Commission of the University of Latvia but the institution itself (Ventspils University College) is accredited for unlimited term without any provisions by the Latvian Board of Higher Education
is taking part in several research projects which are connected with regional development as well as other professional fields
in the academic year 2001/ 02 has 602 full - time students and 50 lecturers
